When You Die – A Poem

amazing-lighthouse-landscape-photography-5

When you die and live no more;

Your eyes no longer behold the beauty of nature.

Your hands no longer hold your favorite cup of coffee.

Those left behind remember and embrace your legacy;

of empowering devotion and resolution to life’s problems.

You were the stars shining fiercely bright;

the pollen in the most beautiful flowers.

    You were the reason birds sang and butterflies came;

       the trees bear fruit such a sweet generous heart.

       The lighthouse by the sea; guiding ships into shore.

 You will be remembered as the instruments in a symphony!
